Removes a cyst or a noncancerous growth from the bone at the rim of the pelvis, the pubic bone at the front, or the bony bump at the top of the thigh bone. The abnormal tissue is cut or scraped out and the healthy bone around it is left in place. What is removed is normally sent to a laboratory to confirm what it was.
