Divides the tight adductor tendon in the groin — the cord that pulls the thigh inward — through a tiny puncture rather than an open incision. A fine blade is passed through the skin onto the tendon and cuts it, so the legs can be separated more easily. It is often done when the inner thigh muscles are permanently tight from spasticity.
