Pinning of a Broken Fingertip Bone

Vermont rates for HCPCS 26756

Holds a break in the last bone of a finger or thumb in place with wires or pins driven through the skin, guided by X-ray, without opening the fracture. The pins keep the fragments aligned while the bone knits and are removed once it has healed. It is used when the pieces will not stay in position on their own.
