Releases one of the small muscles that sit within the hand itself and fine-tune finger movement, when it has become permanently tight and is pulling the fingers into an abnormal position. The muscle or its tendon is divided or lengthened so the fingers can straighten and spread. One muscle is treated, and each additional muscle released is billed separately.
