Manipulation of a Stiff Finger Joint, Asleep

Delaware rates for HCPCS 26340

With the patient asleep or sedated, the doctor bends and straightens a stiff finger joint to break up internal scarring and restore movement. No incision is made; the movement itself frees the joint. It is used when a joint has become stuck after an injury, an operation, or a long spell in a splint and therapy alone has not restored motion.
