Wide Removal Of A Fingertip Bone Tumor

Washington, DC rates for HCPCS 26262

Removes a tumor from the bone in the last segment of a finger, taking a margin of the surrounding healthy tissue with it so that no diseased cells are left behind. This wider removal is used for aggressive or cancerous growths rather than for a simple lump. Depending on how much bone must be taken, the fingertip may end up shorter or need reconstruction.
