Setting a Broken Forearm Without Surgery

Rhode Island rates for HCPCS 25565

Treats a break of both bones of the forearm — the radius and the ulna — without opening the skin. The arm is held in a cast or splint that keeps the bones in position while they knit, and the alignment is rechecked on X-ray as healing goes on. Whether the bones first have to be pushed and moulded back into position from the outside determines which version of this treatment applies.
