Shortening of a Forearm Bone

Rhode Island rates for HCPCS 25390

Cuts one of the two forearm bones, removes a small segment so it becomes shorter, and fixes the ends together with a plate and screws while they heal. It is done when the two forearm bones are mismatched in length, which causes pain at the wrist or elbow and limits turning the palm. Only one of the two bones is shortened.
