Surgical repair of a tendon in the forearm or wrist that helps straighten the fingers or wrist, performed as a follow-up procedure after an earlier injury or a repair that did not heal properly. The tendon ends are brought back together and stitched directly, without using a tissue graft to bridge a gap. It addresses a single tendon.
