Removes or scrapes out a cyst or a non-cancerous growth from one of the small bones of the wrist. The surgeon opens over the affected bone, clears the abnormal tissue from inside it, and closes. It is done when the growth causes pain or swelling, or has thinned the bone enough to be a worry.
