Removal of Inflamed Tendon Lining at the Wrist

Vermont rates for HCPCS 25118

Removes the swollen, thickened lining from inside the sheaths that the straightening tendons pass through on the back of the wrist. Clearing that inflamed tissue relieves pain and swelling and protects the tendons from fraying and eventually snapping. It is most often done for long-standing inflammatory arthritis.
