Open Repair of Break Just Above the Elbow

Repairs a break across the lower end of the upper arm bone, just above the elbow, through an incision so the surgeon can line the pieces up under direct view and hold them with pins, screws, plates or an external frame. The fracture line does not split down between the two knobs of the bone into the joint surface. It is done when the bone cannot be held in acceptable position without opening it.
