Upper Arm Fracture Repair With a Rod

Vermont rates for HCPCS 24516

Stabilizes a broken upper arm bone by placing a metal rod down the hollow center of the bone, often locked with screws or held with wire loops around it. The rod supports the bone from the inside while it heals, without needing to expose the whole length of the fracture. It is done under anesthesia in an operating room.
