Upper Arm Bone Nonunion Repair With Graft

Utah rates for HCPCS 24435

Repairs a break in the upper arm bone that has failed to heal, or has healed crooked, by clearing out the failed site and packing it with bone taken from the patient's own body — commonly from the rim of the pelvis — with the harvesting included in the same operation. The graft supplies living bone cells that restart healing. The arm bone is held steady while the graft takes.
