Repair Of A Torn Elbow Ligament

Vermont rates for HCPCS 24343

Repairs a torn or stretched collateral ligament at the side of the elbow — one of the strong bands that stop the joint giving way sideways. The surgeon exposes the ligament, stitches it back down to the bone and tightens the surrounding tissue so the joint is stable again. It is done after a dislocation or injury that has left the elbow giving way.
