Removing Diseased Bone From the Tip of the Elbow

Removes a diseased portion of the bony point of the elbow, shaving or scooping out the affected bone while leaving the rest of it in place. It is most often done to clear a bone infection, taking away dead and infected bone so antibiotics and healing can work. The wound may be left open or drained.
