Removal of a Soft-Tissue Growth in the Upper Arm

Vermont rates for HCPCS 24073

Removes a soft-tissue growth from the upper arm or the area around the elbow, meaning a lump in fat, muscle or connective tissue rather than in a bone or joint. The surgeon makes an incision over the lump, frees it from the nerves and vessels running nearby, takes it out and closes the wound. The tissue removed is sent to a laboratory to be examined under a microscope.
