Putting a Dislocated Shoulder Back in Place

Vermont rates for HCPCS 23665

Guides the ball of the shoulder back into its socket by hand after a dislocation in which a piece of bone at the top of the upper arm bone has also broken off. No incision is made; the arm is manoeuvred back into position and x-rays confirm the ball and the fragment sit correctly. The arm is then rested in a sling and the position rechecked as it heals.
