Repair of a Broken Shoulder Bump

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 23630

Repairs a broken greater tuberosity, the bony bump at the top of the upper arm bone where the main shoulder tendons attach, through an incision. The fragment is placed back into its bed and held with screws, wires or strong stitches so the tendons pull on the arm properly again. It is used when the piece has pulled far enough out of place that healing where it lies would leave the shoulder weak and stiff.
