Open Shoulder Stabilization Surgery With Bone Transfer

Washington rates for HCPCS 23462

This is an open surgical repair for a shoulder that repeatedly slips out of its socket. It tightens the front of the shoulder joint capsule and transfers a small piece of bone with attached tendon to help block the shoulder from dislocating again. It is a more involved reconstruction than a simple soft-tissue repair, used for shoulders with significant or repeated instability.
