Reattaching the Biceps Tendon at the Shoulder

Rhode Island rates for HCPCS 23430

Surgery that detaches the long biceps tendon from its anchor inside the shoulder joint and fixes it to the upper arm bone instead. The portion of that tendon running through the joint is a common source of pain in the front of the shoulder when it is frayed, inflamed or unstable, and moving the anchor point takes the strain off it. It is often done alongside other shoulder repairs.
