Removal of a Growth From the Abdominal Wall

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 22901

Removes a soft-tissue growth — a lump made of fat, fibrous tissue, muscle, or nerve tissue — from the wall of the abdomen. The surgeon cuts down to the growth, takes it out whole, and closes the layers of the abdominal wall over it. The tissue is normally sent to a laboratory afterwards to confirm what it was.
