Spacer Between Bones of the Lower Spine

Vermont rates for HCPCS 22869

A small implant is placed between the bony projections at the back of two lower-spine vertebrae, holding them slightly apart so the openings the nerves pass through stay wider. No bone is removed to free the nerves, and the vertebrae are not fused together. This covers treatment at a single level of the spine.
