Artificial Disc In The Neck, Second Level

Arkansas rates for HCPCS 22858

Replacement of a second worn or damaged disc in the neck with an artificial disc during the same operation, reached through an incision at the front of the neck. The damaged disc is removed, pressure on the nerves is relieved, and a moving implant is fitted so the neck keeps its motion rather than being fused. It is billed in addition to the main disc replacement.
