Removal Of Spinal Hardware Anchored At Many Levels

Vermont rates for HCPCS 22852

Removes spinal hardware placed at an earlier operation along the back of the spine, where the rods were fixed to the bone at several points along their length with screws, hooks or wires. Each anchor is released and the whole assembly is lifted out through the old incision. It is done when the hardware is loose, prominent, painful or infected, or is simply no longer needed.
