Fixes the lower end of spinal rods to the bones of the pelvis rather than stopping at the spine itself. Screws are placed into the pelvic bone and linked to the rods, giving the construct a solid foundation when the fusion runs all the way down to the base of the spine. It is billed in addition to the main procedure.
