Anchors rods to the spine at multiple points along its length using screws, hooks or wires fixed into the individual bones, holding the corrected position while a fusion heals. Attaching to each bone in turn gives strong control over the shape of the spine. This version spans a moderate stretch, about seven to twelve bones, and is billed in addition to the main procedure.
