Wedge Cut Through A Spine Bone To Realign It

Washington, DC rates for HCPCS 22206

Cuts a wedge through the full depth of one spinal bone — front, middle, and back — working from an incision in the back, so the spine can be re-angled and straightened. Closing the wedge tilts the spine into a better position, which is then held with hardware while the bone heals. It is used for a spine fixed in a bent or collapsed posture that lesser corrections cannot fix.
