Hyoid Suspension Surgery For Sleep Apnea

Repositions the hyoid, a small U-shaped bone in the front of the neck, and secures it forward so the base of the tongue and the airway behind it are held more open. It is used to treat obstructive sleep apnea, in which the airway collapses during sleep. The bone is reached through an incision in the neck.
