Jaw Wiring For A Non-Fracture Condition

This procedure wires the upper and lower teeth together to hold the jaw in a fixed position for a reason other than a broken jaw. It is used, for example, to stabilize the jaw after certain corrective jaw surgery or to keep it immobile for a period of healing when no fracture is present.
