Open Eye Socket Fracture Repair With Bone Graft

Repairs a broken eye socket, other than a break of the thin socket floor, through an incision that exposes the fracture so the bone can be moved back into its correct position. Missing or crushed bone is replaced with a graft of the patient's own bone, and plates or screws hold everything while it heals. It is done when the break has left the socket the wrong shape, altering the position of the eye or trapping tissue.
