Open Repair of a Broken Nasal Septum

Vermont rates for HCPCS 21336

Repairs a break in the septum — the wall of bone and cartilage dividing the two sides of the nose — by opening it so the pieces can be put back into line under direct view. Splints or soft packing may be used to hold the repair while it sets. It is done when a fractured septum has blocked breathing or twisted the nose out of shape.
