Halo Device Application For Facial Fracture

Hawaii rates for HCPCS 21100

A rigid ring device is fitted around the head and anchored to the skull with pins to hold the face and jaw bones still while a fracture heals. It is used for serious facial injuries where the bones need to stay in a fixed position for an extended period. The device stays in place for weeks and is removed once healing is confirmed.
