Reshaping a Noncancerous Facial Bone Overgrowth

Vermont rates for HCPCS 21029

A noncancerous overgrowth of a facial bone is shaved and contoured back to a normal shape rather than being cut out whole. It is used for conditions in which bone thickens and distorts the face, causing asymmetry or pressure on nearby structures. The aim is to restore the natural outline of the face while keeping the underlying bone intact.
