Deep Soft Tissue Growth Removal, Face Or Scalp

Pennsylvania rates for HCPCS 21013

Removes a growth from the soft tissue of the face or scalp that lies deep to the fascia — the fibrous sheet covering the muscles — including a growth sitting within a muscle itself. Reaching that plane takes considerably more dissection than lifting out a lump in the fat just under the skin, because the nerves and vessels of the face have to be worked around. It applies to smaller growths in that deeper layer.
