Bone Graft With Reattached Blood Vessels, Other Site

Washington rates for HCPCS 20962

This procedure transfers a section of living bone, along with its own blood vessels, from one part of the body to reconstruct a bone defect elsewhere. The blood vessels are surgically reconnected under a microscope to restore blood flow to the transplanted bone at its new location. The bone segment is taken from a site elsewhere in the body, rather than the hip, lower leg, or foot bones most commonly used for this technique.
