Draws liquid marrow from inside a bone through a needle placed via its own separate small incision, so the bone-forming cells it contains can be added to the graft used in a spinal fusion. The marrow is mixed with graft material and packed along the spine to encourage the bones to knit together. It is billed in addition to the main spinal procedure.
