Rib Cartilage Graft Harvesting

Connecticut rates for HCPCS 20910

This procedure removes a small piece of cartilage from a rib to use as graft material somewhere else in the body. It's a supporting step in a larger reconstructive surgery, such as rebuilding an ear, nose, or joint, where the surgeon needs a piece of the patient's own cartilage to shape and implant. The donor site on the chest is closed after the cartilage is removed.
