Harvesting a Large Bone Graft

Washington rates for HCPCS 20902

Takes a sizeable block or strip of bone from one part of the body so it can be used to rebuild, fill or fuse bone somewhere else. The donor area is opened, the piece of bone is cut free, and the site is closed. It accompanies a reconstruction that needs the patient's own bone rather than a substitute.
