Covers hand-mixing and shaping an implant that releases medication, commonly antibiotic-loaded cement formed into beads or a spacer, and placing it inside a joint during an operation so the drug is delivered straight to the tissue that needs it. The implant is temporary and is removed or exchanged at a later operation. It is billed in addition to the main procedure.
