Ring Frame Fixation of a Broken Bone

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 20692

Applies an external frame that holds a broken or deformed bone from outside the limb, with pins and wires passing through the skin into the bone in several different directions. The rings and rods are then locked together so the bone is supported without a plate inside. It is used for severe or contaminated fractures, bone loss, infection, and for gradually straightening or lengthening a bone.
