Reshapes a breast that has already been rebuilt in earlier surgery, when the result has changed or is not sitting well. Depending on how the breast was rebuilt, the surgeon may remove excess tissue, lift and re-set transferred tissue, or release and trim the tight shell of scar tissue around an implant along with some of the soft tissue. It is a further operation on an existing reconstruction rather than the original rebuild.
