Muscle Graft For Facial Paralysis

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 15841

Surgery that places a piece of muscle taken from elsewhere in the body into a face that has been paralysed on one side, to restore movement. The graft is positioned so it can pull the corner of the mouth and cheek, improving symmetry at rest and when smiling. It is used when the face's own muscles can no longer be reactivated.
