Fascia Graft for a Paralysed Face

Maine rates for HCPCS 15840

Takes a strip of fascia, the tough sheet of tissue that wraps muscle, from elsewhere on the body and uses it as a sling to hold up the drooping side of a face paralysed by facial nerve damage. The strip is anchored so that it lifts the corner of the mouth and the cheek into a more even position. It provides steady support rather than restoring movement.
