Removal Of Excess Lower Abdominal Skin

Vermont rates for HCPCS 15830

Removes the apron of loose skin and fatty tissue that hangs over the lower abdomen below the navel. The surgeon cuts the overhanging tissue away and closes the remaining skin, which is done when the fold causes repeated rashes, infections, sores, or difficulty with hygiene and movement. It differs from a cosmetic tummy tuck, which also tightens the muscle wall and repositions the navel.
