Midface Flap With Its Blood Supply Preserved

New York rates for HCPCS 15730

Reconstructs a facial defect by raising a flap of skin and underlying tissue from the midface and moving it into the gap while its feeding blood vessels stay attached. Keeping that blood supply intact is the defining feature of the technique and is what keeps the moved tissue alive. It is commonly used to close a defect left after removal of a skin cancer or after an injury.
