Skin Graft Using A Thin Layer Of Skin

Nebraska rates for HCPCS 15100

A thin layer of a patient's own skin, including the outer layer and part of the layer beneath it, is surgically removed from a donor area and transplanted onto the trunk, arm, or leg to cover a wound, burn, or area of missing skin. This covers up to a set amount of surface area treated. It is used when a wound is too large or too deep to close with stitches alone and needs new skin to heal properly.
