Skin Rearrangement Repair, Trunk, Smaller Defect

Idaho rates for HCPCS 14000

After a growth is removed or a wound is created on the trunk, this procedure closes the resulting gap by cutting and repositioning nearby skin to cover it, rather than taking skin from a separate part of the body. Using adjacent skin that already has a healthy blood supply and similar color and texture typically gives a better cosmetic result than other closure methods for gaps that simple straight-line stitching cannot cover. It is used for a smaller-sized defect on the trunk.
