Layered Repair Of A Very Long Body Wound

Vermont rates for HCPCS 12037

Closes a wound on the scalp, armpit, trunk, arm, or leg in more than one layer, stitching the deeper tissue under the skin before closing the surface. Layered closure takes tension off the skin edges and gives a better-healing scar. This covers the longest wounds treated this way; hands and feet are handled differently.
