Removal of a Pilonidal Cyst With Its Tunnels

New Hampshire rates for HCPCS 11771

Removes a pilonidal cyst and the tunnels running under the skin at the top of the buttock crease, taking more tissue than a simple cyst removal because the tracts extend further. The wound may be stitched closed or left open to heal gradually from the base. It is done for a cyst that keeps becoming infected or draining.
